Jindera

Jindera, one of Greater Hume’s quickest growing towns, is a thriving and exciting town, filled with history and heritage, park and gardens and some beautiful, home-style cafes. Feel welcome in Jindera!

Jindera’s main recreation reserve is centrally located with facilities for football, cricket, tennis, netball, swimming, and a skate park. Jindera also has a golf course so plenty of family fun activities which are bound to get the heart rate up.

One of the highlights situated in this town is the Jindera Pioneer Museum, a past winner of the Museum of the Year Award for museums in country NSW. The award-winning museum has a wonderful complex of buildings, including the original Wagner’s Store, a reconstructed slab hut, the old Huon post office, early farm machinery and a blacksmith’s forge. The shop building is pre-eminent in NSW for its original shop fittings and furnishings and plays host to many hundreds of visitors throughout the year.
